SPM, KCI Partners in Keeping the Environment Green

Modern young people of this generation have come to an even more forward and different lifestyles of this world.

From fashion, sports to hobbies modern young people are more often influenced by the trends of the Western world especially in the Philippines .

This is why the Keeper’s Club International (KCI) was established. Its mission is basically focused on the reformation of young people that have been led to the pitfalls of worldly trends and bring them back into doing the Father’s will.

Led by Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy , this year’s aim is to expand the hands of the club in order to accommodate more young people and spread the good news for everyone.

Many activities are included in the package of the Keepers’ Club, all designed to provide venues for these youths to participate in the community and at the same time hone their talents and skills.

Taking part in finding solutions to the widespread environmental degradation in the world today, the Keepers’ Club International members which consist of students from different schools, colleges and universities give time to make a possible change in the future.

GREEN is IN

Pioneered in Davao City , this partnership between the Keepers’ Club International and the Sonshine Philippines Movement has gained deeper ground, particularly in initiating environmental preservation projects.

The first was at the Peoples’ Park and the results were positive. This was re-echoed in Luzon , where a large number of students and youths bannered the Keepers’ Club environmental advocacy at the Bayanihan Legacy Site in Norzagaray, Bulacan.

The Keepers Club in Cebu also made itself known through its green efforts. This time, mangrove reforestation in Brgy. Inoburan, in Naga, Cebu . Seeing the favorable result of that project, the partnership went on even to the foothills of Mt. Apo , in Brgy. Tamayong, Davao City where a massive tree-planting program was recently held.

Joining are students from different universities in the city numbering to half a thousand young people. Pine tree seedlings were planted in the grounds of the wide and almost denuded land in Tamayong, Upper 6.

This world demands the quality of youth to have the will that is determined to abolish the old dysfunctional system and those who are courageous enough to stand for what is just in the eyes of men and in the presence of God for the present and to leave something for the future.

Keeper’s Club is different from other organizations in a way that it promotes the righteousness within the hearts of these young men and women, enlarging the spirit of volunteerism and inculcate among them the value of good leadership.

From here we can truly say that the youths are the hope of this nation.
